PCBs Test (Polychlorinated Biphenyls) Services on Transformers
PCBs tests are:
PCBs or Polychlorinated Biphenyls are organic compounds that have stable physical and chemical properties, are heat resistant, non-flammable, and insoluble in water.
PCBs are usually found in transformers and capacitors
PCBs are dangerous substances that can have negative impacts on human health and the environment if not managed properly
Because the transformer is in a living environment, the transformer needs to be tested for PCBs to determine the level of PCBs in the dielectric oil and determine the status of B3 waste (hazardous and toxic materials) from the dielectric oil.
From the results of the PCBs test, it will be known whether the condition of the dielectric oil from the transformer has reached the lowest concentration limit, namely 50 ppm (parts per million), which is used as a basis for determining the management of PCBs in dielectric oil. If it exceeds the limit, retrofilling needs to be carried out to reduce the concentration of PCBs.
Our team can carry out tests very precisely, accurately and efficiently.
